Life is like...
busy, frustrating, happy, sad, fast, fun, difficult, easy, a struggle, different, same, sweet, challenging but most of all for the most part I think my life isn't bad and mostly it is good.

Currently reading: A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson
Listening to, on rotation at work when people start talking too loud and interfering with my concentration: Belle & Sebastian, Teenage Fanclub, The Beatles,
Radio Head, Badly Drawn Boy, Elliot Smith, The Jam, Tori Amos.
And on occassion at other times: Ben Harper, Bob Mould, Corduroy, Miles Davis & John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock & Chick Corea etc.
This is why I have never put my musical tastes out there before there is so much though if I had to sum it up though, as a rule its Jazz or Classical for Sunday Breakfasts with heaving leanings towards Brit Pop most other days.

Oh girl, that cake looks fab. You have inspired me with the chocolate barricades! - anyresemblance

I ended up with those barricades because I couldn't do one complete chocolate sheet that surrounded the cake. It requires perfectly tempered chocolate and I couldn't do that so making little chocolate fence posts was much easier - and I am happy to say everyone in the family has finally deferred to me as the supreme cake maker!
