Life is like...
busy, frustrating, happy, sad, fast, fun, difficult, easy, a struggle, different, same, sweet, challenging but most of all for the most part I think my life isn't bad and mostly it is good.

Currently reading: A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson
Listening to, on rotation at work when people start talking too loud and interfering with my concentration: Belle & Sebastian, Teenage Fanclub, The Beatles,
Radio Head, Badly Drawn Boy, Elliot Smith, The Jam, Tori Amos.
And on occassion at other times: Ben Harper, Bob Mould, Corduroy, Miles Davis & John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock & Chick Corea etc.
This is why I have never put my musical tastes out there before there is so much though if I had to sum it up though, as a rule its Jazz or Classical for Sunday Breakfasts with heaving leanings towards Brit Pop most other days.

Here's what I originally posted on my site - but I removed it because I thought you might not like me posting your family's personal details all over my site!
I still smile when I think about your son crying because he was scared of the 'mean lady' Helga who makes him take a bath. He obviously has a wonderfully active imagination, maybe he's going to be an actor - certainly has the looks for it!
The fact that your children are such a focus of your blog and the honest way you write about them (ie. admitting when they are driving you crazy!) is lovely and why I enjoy reading about them. I don't think you have anything to worry about!
Thanks for the feedback re. my post about parenting. I wondered if it was a bit harsh, but by God have I seen some horrors over the last few years. Probably why I feel so old!
Don't worry, I was an actor when I was a kid - takes a lot to offend me!
I marvel at a child's imagination - that Elliot would think my naked husband is a stern German woman it made us laugh till our ribs hurt. He really talks about them as though they are real we discussed where they were and he said they are on a very long holiday.
Elliot is such an entertainer at home this morning he sat singing about 4 songs he made up on the old guitar - it made me very happy to hear him all over the house clearly enjoying himself. He is great in his comfort zone I think it would require alot of encouragement to get him to move it to a public forum - I am not a pushy mum but I have let him know that if he tells me what it is he wants to do I will help him all I can.
